Join Lou Bank to learn about traditional agricultural practices through a Tequila and Mezcal tasting on the Wild Mile! Lou is the director of S.A.C.R.E.D, a nonprofit that helps improve lives in the rural Mexican communities where heritage agave spirits are made. Since launching in 2017, SACRED has contributed more than 75,000 agave seedlings to mezcalero families, funded the building of three rain-harvest systems and the digging of two wells to mitigate water insecurity, enabled four communities to construct greenhouses to take control of their agricultural future, and so much more. Join Lou to explore ancestral applications to modern problems — a discussion augmented and illustrated by the handmade agave spirits that come from the communities with which S.A.C.R.E.D partners
