River History with Isadora Kron

  • Wild Mile 905 West Eastman Street Chicago, IL, 60642 United States (map)

Ever wonder what it takes to arrange a project like the Wild Mile? Or why river access is so limited in Chicago? Join Isadora Kron for a local history lesson focused on Chicago’s waterways. Isadora is a rower and rowing coach who will be speaking about the role of public policy in public space creation on the Chicago River. She will go over the history of the Wild Mile site; showing how historical, economic, and political forces came together to make this space possible; and will lead a discussion envisioning future relationships with the Chicago River. Come with questions, and be ready to share your vision for the river’s future!
